Thibault Picard

I‘m a digital designer specialised in website and app design. I studied in France, got a Bachelor Degree in Annecy, and a Master Degree in Graphic Design in Paris. After working for Werkstatt (now Leonard), an award winning digital studio in Paris I continued my journey in Australia & New Zealand for 3 years.
I have been located in Lisbon for the past year where I designed a Web3 product. I worked with world class brands like Adidas & Kenzo and smaller start-ups such as Grid singularity & Shadow. During the last few years I developed a passion for web3. (Hover to see my nfts)

What does Digital Designer mean ?

As a Senior Digital Designer I am part of the whole process of creating a digital product. From ideas and strategy to production and technology. I pride myself in being able to understand and work on each and every step of the creative process to best deliver a product that make sense for the company and for its users.

Are you a UI designer ? UX designer ?

Yes and Yes. But I’m preoccupied by efficiency & usability as much as I am by visual & emotional connection. I think it's time to deconstruct the irrelevant opposition between UX and UI design. I keep in mind that one doesn't exist without the other and both are equally important.

Do you do motion design ?

Yes I do, and I love it. I started motion design to animate websites because websites are not static objects, they move. From this I developed a love for micro-interaction that can really improve a user experience. I also enjoy working with 3D, as it is a great creation tool to make key visuals.

What tools do you use ?

I started my career working on Photoshop & Illustrator, then Sketch and now I'm almost only using Figma. I still have strong skills with the Adobe Suite but I'm mostly using it for motion: After Effects and Premiere Pro. I'm also using Webflow a lot (this website is made in webflow)

Can you tell us more about you ? ☺️

Ok, you nosey little weasel. I'm french but I left France few years ago I don't think I will go back anytime soon (I still love cheese though). I love to travel, that's maybe why I'm not living in my home country anymore. I also love video games: Rogue lite, TCG & I'm a support main in League of Legend which means I'm playing for the team. Oh and I'm a big coffee nerd, I'm rocking a VBM Heat Exchanger expresso machine at home.
